A large tree stands alone, uphill from Mono Lake, high in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Before this lake was tapped to quench the thirst of a growing Los Angeles, it was much larger. That's driftwood in the foreground, left high and dry as the lake receded. It's a lot of fun getting back to painting nature, again. Here's the photo I worked from.
